Is there a good strict diet or eating plan out there so that I can lower my chances of getting it? Ive already started monitoring my blood sugar on a daily basis. I am 17 and I recently went to the doctors, sense there are so many people with diabetes in my family the doctor told me “It isn’t a matter of if you will get diabetes it is when.” She then told me to “eat right you know how to your mom is a diabetic” My mother doesn’t eat the best so I was wondering what you should be watching in your diet in this situation, would it be calories?
